Farshestan
An experience-led, interactive 3D website and visual identity that translates the traditional Tehran carpet store into a contemporary digital space.
Farshestan presented a challenge: to create a digital experience that feels like stepping into a traditional Persian carpet shop. The homepage features an interactive 3D model that offers a tactile introduction highlighting the craftsmanship and detail of the carpets. Built with WebGL, the experience is smooth and immersive.
Beyond the homepage the website shifts to a more conventional e-commerce design focused on clarity and ease of use allowing users to browse products and make purchases efficiently. This balance ensures the site is both engaging and functional, meeting modern user expectations.
I also designed the visual identity for Farshestan. The logomark is a play on type, a swirl that resembles the motion of a rolling carpet while subtly referencing the first letter of "Farshestan" in Persian: ف. Creating a mark that feels both traditional and contemporary. It reflects the brand’s cultural roots while providing a flexible system that works across digital and print applications.
